Natali Foster named Berks Player of the Year for second straight season field hockey

Twin Valley senior Natali Foster has been voted the All-Berks field hockey Player of the Year for the second straight season.

Foster led Twin Valley to its second straight Berks championship while leading Berks in scoring with 58 goals and 44 assists for 160 points.

She became the only Berks player to reach 100 goals and 100 assists during her high school career.

Foster is joined on the All-Berks Team by two of her teammates, senior Emma Winther and sophomore goalie Maddie Stevens.

Winther is second in the county with 34 assists to go with 24 goals. Stevens leads a Twin Valley defense that has allowed only 19 goals in 23 games.

Wilson, Oley Valley and Berks Catholic each had two players voted to the 12-player team.

Voted to the team for Berks I runner-up Wilson are juniors Erika Culp and Catherine Arentz. Culp has 12 goals and 10 assists and Arentz has 10 goals and eight assists for a balanced Wilson offense.

Berks III champion Oley Valley is represented by juniors Alexandra Lopez and Tetje Williamson. Lopez has 16 goals and six assists. Williamson has eight goals and six assists.

Berks II runner-up Berks Catholic is represented by senior Julia Bressler and junior Aubreigh Uba. Bressler had 28 goals and two assists before missing the second half of the season with an injury. She surpassed 100 goals for her career.

When Bressler was injured, Uba moved from defense to offense and finished with 27 goals and 15 assists.

Fleetwood senior Casey Lynn Dewald is the third member of the 100-goal club on the All-Berks team. Dewald has 43 goals and 15 assists this season for Berks III runner-up Fleetwood.

Also voted to the team were Daniel Boone sophomore Hannah Huddleson and Hamburg junior Isabella Denatala.

Huddleson had 17 goals and nine assists to help Daniel Boone win the Berks II title. Denatala had 10 goals and five assists for Berks IV champion Hamburg.
