Fulton Bank

Fulton Financial Corp. has named Betsy Chivinski as interim chief financial officer, replacing Mark McCollom who resigned from Fulton Financial on Feb. 8. In a related announcement, Atul Malhotra has been promoted to chief risk officer to succeed Chivinski in that role. Both changes are effective immediately.

Previously chief risk officer, Chivinski will now serve as senior executive vice president and interim CFO and will continue to report to chairman and CEO Curt Myers. She will be responsible for the overall financial governance of the corporation until a new CFO is named.

Chivinski has served in a variety of leadership positions at the corporation, having joined the bank nearly 30 years ago. She has been senior executive vice president and chief risk officer of the corporation since 2016. Previously, she served as chief audit executive and chief accounting officer. Prior to joining Fulton, she served as senior manager at Arthur Andersen & Co. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from Franklin & Marshall College.

Malhotra will serve as executive vice president and chief risk officer and will report to Myers. He will be responsible for governance of the bank’s risk management programs.

Malhotra has more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance, risk management and regulatory strategy. Previously, he served as managing director of enterprise risk management. In the past Malhotra served as a regulatory and risk strategy consultant for various publicly traded companies, including large, global financial institutions.

Malhotra holds a Bachelor of Arts in business administration and computer science from Franklin & Marshall College, in addition to having earned several certifications, including Certified in Risk and Information Systems Controls and Certified in Risk Management Assurance. He is also a graduate of the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Pennsylvania Association of Realtors

Allentown Realtor Alexa Sanchez was re-elected for a second two-year term as a district vice president of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors. In her role as district vice president, she will represent members from Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill counties.

A Realtor for nearly 10 years, Sanchez is an agent with Smart Way America Realty in East Stroudsburg and is a member of the Pocono Mountain Association of Realtors. She serves on the PMAR government affairs committee, chaired the PMAR Realtors political action committee and was previously a member of the PMAR board of directors. She was also a member of the Greater Lehigh Valley Realtors government affairs committee.

She served as the president a local chapter of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals and has been named a social influencer and ambassador by Realtor.com. She has also spoken at Realtor.com Success Summit and the Women’s Council of Realtors. In addition, she is opening a brokerage in the Dominican Republic, focusing on international sales in Latin America.

Sanchez has been involved with the local and state Special Olympics program for more than 15 years. She has volunteered as a competition database coordinator, manager and an assistant coach.

Jonestown Bank & Trust Co.

Jonestown Bank & Trust Co. recently announced that Heather Via, Beverly Leisey , Paul Stauffer, and Rodney Becker, and have been promoted to regional branch manager roles.

Heather Via will be the regional branch manager for the Eastern Region, which includes JBT branches in Lebanon, Newmanstown in Lebanon County, and Robesonia in Berks County. Previously, Via served as manager of the Lebanon and Newmanstown branches. Via has been employed with JBT for 20 years and is a graduate of Tulpehocken High School and the Pennsylvania Bankers Association School of Banking.

Beverly Leisey, who will serve as the regional manager for JBT’s Southern Region, joined JBT in 2019. Leisey will oversee JBT’s Lancaster County branch locations in Ephrata, Lititz, and Manheim. Previously, Leisey was the branch manager of JBT’s Lititz and Manheim locations. She has 15 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Ephrata High School, and the American Bankers Association (ABA) Principles of Banking as well as ABA Marketing.

Paul Stauffer has been named regional branch manager for JBT’s Northern Region, which consists of JBT’s Jonestown and Cleona branch locations. Stauffer has been with JBT since 2020 and was most recently the manager of the Jonestown branch. He is a graduate of Lebanon Christian Academy and attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., studying business administration with an emphasis on business law and business statics, and Messiah College with a focus on the field of finance with an emphasis on accounting and economics.

As the regional branch manager of JBT’s Western Region, Rodney Becker will supervise the bank’s Grantville, Northside Commons (Palmyra), and Quentin Road branches. Becker has been with JBT for 14 years, most recently as manager of the Quentin Road branch. He is a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and Bloomsburg University, as well as the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers – Community Lender Course, and has 23 years of banking experience.
