Oley Valley gave up two goals in the first half, including one just a minute into the game, and lost 2-1 to Camp Hill in a District 3 Class 2A semifinal Tuesday at Siebert Park in Camp Hill.
Ty Kirchhoff gave the second-seeded Lions the quick lead when he scored off an assist from Cole Nelson.
Camp Hill (17-1-2) doubled its lead on a goal by Lorenzo Lici off an assist from Jack Kennedy with 10 minutes left in the first half.
The sixth-seeded Lynx (13-8) scored five minutes into the second half on a goal by Johnny Turchi off an assist from Brooks Muir.
“Had chances, but couldn’t find the equalizer,” Oley coach Shawn Meals said in an email. “Played a great second half.”
The Lions will play top-seeded and defending champion Fleetwood, a 4-0 winner over Trinity Tuesday, in the championship game Saturday at Cumberland Valley’s Eagle View Middle School in Mechanicsburg at 1 p.m. Only the top two teams qualify for the PIAA playoffs.
