Brooks Muir scored off a free kick with three minutes left in the first overtime to lift Oley Valley to a 2-1 victory over previously unbeaten Lancaster Catholic in a District 3 Class 2A quarterfinal Saturday at Lancaster.
In another quarterfinal, Josh Avila had two goals and an assist, and Davin Millisock had a goal and two assists to lead defending champion Fleetwood to a 5-1 victory over visiting Biglerville.
The sixth-seeded Lynx (13-7) will play at second-seeded Camp Hill (16-2-1), a 2-1 winner over Lancaster Mennonite Saturday, in a semifinal Tuesday, time to be announced.
The top-seeded and Berks champion Tigers (20-1) will host fourth-seeded Trinity (12-5-1) in a semifinal Tuesday, time to be announced. The Shamrocks defeated West Perry 1-0 in overtime Saturday.
Third-seeded Lancaster Catholic (17-1) took a 1-0 lead in the first half before Oley tied it about 15 minutes later on a goal by Johnny Turchi off an assist from Ben Fatkin.
Fleetwood took a 1-0 lead against eighth-seeded Biglerville (12-8) on a goal by Avila. Cody Mendoza tied it for Canners with 1:50 left in the first half, but Nate Herb broke the tie 48.2 seconds before halftime.
Avila, Millisock and William Maurek scored in the second half for the Tigers.
