Opportunity House announced the appointment of Jamie Minick as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Jamie steps into the role following the recent promotion of Alyssa Bushkie from COO to Chief Executive Officer (CEO), marking a new chapter in the organization’s leadership.
Jamie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and English from Alvernia University and a master’s degree in counseling psychology from Kutztown University. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). With more than 27 years of experience in the human services field, including 18 years in leadership positions, her previous roles included working with children, families, and adults through programs providing counseling, child welfare, juvenile detention, foster care, adoption, substance use disorder treatment, and case management.
“I am honored to join Opportunity House and excited to work alongside such strong and dedicated leaders to enhance our operations, create efficiencies, and ultimately serve our community’s most vulnerable with excellence,” noted Jamie.
As COO, Jamie will oversee the internal operations of Opportunity House, including housing, shelter in Reading and Pottstown, Second Street and Patton Avenue Learning Centers, OppShop, and Warehouse functions.
Jamie resides in Cumru Township, PA, with her husband, Tom, and their two children, Tyler and Taylor.
