PennDOT Road Projects in Berks: May 7, 2023

Long-term

• Feb. 6-June 30: Route 143, Hawk Mountain Road to Old Philly Pike, Albany Township. Single lane with traffic signal around the clock. Detour via Stoney Run Valley Road for access to and from Route 737.

• Through 2023: Smoketown Road at the Little Sacony Creek Bridge, Rockland Township, closed.

• Through 2023: North Reading Avenue at Montgomery Avenue, Colebrookdale Township, lane restrictions, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Ongoing: Gibraltar Road at Shelbourne Road, Exeter Township. One-way traffic on bridge at all times. Bridge expected to fully reopen by late August.

• Ongoing: Funk Road bridge in Colebrookdale Township: Closed indefinitely due to deterioration.

Daily

• Daily: Route 222, Paper Mill Road in Wyomissing to Route 724 in Spring Township: overnight work, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights, 7 p.m to 10 a.m. weekends.

• Monday-Friday: Route 12/Route 73 intersection, Ruscombmanor Township: utility work, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Also weekend overnight paving work, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Friday night.

• Tonight-Thursday: Route 12 in both directions, Route 422 interchange to River Road, Reading, overnight work, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

• Monday-Friday: Alleghenyville Road, Route 10 to Ridge Road, Robeson Township, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Monday-Tuesday: Interstate 78 eastbound, Lebanon County line to Exit 10 (Frystown), pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Wednesday: Green Valley Road, Penn Avenue to Brownsville Road, Lower Heidelberg Township, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Thursday-Friday: Route 501/Lancaster Avenue, Old Route 22 to Frystown Road, Bethel Township, pothole patching, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Monday-Friday: Crystal Ridge Road, Crystal Cave Road to Route 222, Richmond Township, brush cutting, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• Monday-Friday: Route 422, Wyomissing to Lebanon County line, overnight sweeping, 7 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

• Monday: Interstate 78, Exit 23 (Shartlesville) to Exit 35 (Lenhartsville), traffic stoppage/rolling roadblock for utility line work, midnight to 3 a.m.
