The Pep Boys NHRA Nationals at Maple Grove Raceway fell victim to weather on Sunday.
With competition for the Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle classes entering the semifinal rounds, racing was suspended due to rain at the quarter-mile dragstrip located in Brecknock Township, Berks County.
The first event of the NHRA’s six-race Countdown to the Championship postseason, racing will resume Monday at 10 a.m.
Action will begin with the second Top Fuel semifinal. Doug Kalitta defeated Leah Pruett in the first semifinal before rain stopped the action for the third and final time on Sunday.
The other Top Fuel semifinalists are Steve Torrence and Tony Schumacher. Funny Car semifinalists include Bob Tasca III, Chad Green, Ron Capps and Robert Hight.
The Pro Stock semifinalists include Erica Enders, Matt Hartford, Troy Coughlin Jr. and Kyle Koretsky. Pro Stock Motorcycle semifinalists include Jianna Evaristo, Matt Smith, Chip Ellis and Hector Arana Jr.
