Pine Grove Area High School students of the month

Christina Becher and Katie Herring have been named Pine Grove Area High School’s September students of the month.

Christina Becher is a daughter of Jim and Theresa Becher of Pine Grove.

Her high school activities include girls varsity basketball, Student Council, National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society (treasurer), FBLA, Marching Band (drum major), SADD, History Club, Travel Club, Diversity Club, Prom Committee, Aevidum and Recycling Club.

Christina plans to attend a four-year college to major in health care science and obtain an advanced practitioner’s degree as a physician assistant.

Katie Herring is a daughter of Melissa Herring and the late Scott Herring of Tremont.

Her high school activities include cheerleading, band front, Prom Committee, SADD, National Honor Society, Travel Club, Varsity Club, Big Impact Group, chorus, Student Council, track and field, and Schuylkill County Drug and Alcohol Junior Advisory Board.

She plans to earn a Master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders and become a Speech Language Pathologist.
