Police Reports, Jan. 19, 2023

The following information is from police reports and court records.

DUI on View Alcohol: On Jan. 2 at about 2:30 a.m., state police at Schuylkill Haven stopped a vehicle at West Market Street and Pottsville Minersville Highway in Branch Township. A Pottsville woman was charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance. Police are continuing their investigation.

Harass Physical Contact: State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an altercation on Dec. 31 at about 7 p.m. at Randazzo’s Pizza in Tremont. Nicholas Leiby, 42, Pine Grove, was arguing with a Tremont man and pushed him to the ground. Leiby was cited for harassment by physical contact.

Crash: On Dec. 22 at about 4:30 a.m., state police at Frackville responded to an accident on Pine Creek Road in East Brunswick Township. Bradley Davis, 31, New Philadelphia, struck a utility pole and left the scene before police arrived.

Crash: On Dec. 17 at about 8:30 a.m. state police at Frackville responded to an accident on Route 895. A large piece of ice fell from another vehicle and struck the windshield of an SUV driven by Jacqueline Mattiuz, 64, New Ringgold. There were no injuries but Mattiuz was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital for a medical evaluation. The unidentified vehicle was not located.

Theft: On Dec. 8 at about 8:45 a.m. state police at Schuylkill Haven responded to Panther Valley Road in Wayne Township for a reported theft. A Pottsville male was scammed out of $200 through Snapchat. Police are continuing the investigation.

Theft: Pennsylvania State Police received a report of theft at the Fuel Up Gas Station in Minersville that occurred on Dec. 7 between 12 and 2 a.m. State police along with Minersville police are investigatng the theft of money from a skills machine owned by Deibler Brother Amusements, Hegins.
