Rain to end this morning in Berks, forecasters say

Clouds blanketing Berks County and the region are expected to clear, giving way to partly sunny skies this afternoon after a rainy, though warm, Friday morning, forecasters say.

Rain is expected to taper off later this morning after dumping about an inch of rain in Berks since midnight. Temperatures will remain in the low 60s through the afternoon..

No major flooding is expected, but some street flooding could occur in low-lying areas, especially if leaves clog storm drains.

Berks County emergency officials said the roads remained relatively problem-free this morning.

Saturday will usher in cooler temperatures, with an afternoon high of 55, and it will feel colder than the thermometer indicates because it will be blustery, with the possibility of a heavy thunderstorm, according to AccuWeather.com.
