The Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps know a thing or two about winning.
Coming into this season, they had won Drum Corps Associates World Championship in 14 or the last 18 years, and a total of 18 times overall. That’s the most of any competitive corps.
And on Sunday, the Buccaneers continued their winning ways.
The corps competed in the world championships in Rochester, N.Y., taking home their 19th world championship.
The Buccaneers’ performance earned the corps a score of 99 out of a possible 100 points. It also earned high honors in brass, color guard, and visual and music effects.
The Buccaneers have a long history of winning national championships, dating back to the very first DCA World Championship in 1965.
