Reading Liederkranz Oktoberfest Nominated as Best in the USA

The Reading Liederkranz proudly announces that its annual Oktoberfest has been nominated by USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards as the Best Oktoberfest in the United States. This prestigious nomination celebrates not only the Liederkranz’s commitment to authentic German tradition but also the cultural vitality and economic potential of the entire Greater Reading and Berks County region.

Voting is open now through Monday, Sept. 8, 2025, at 11:59 a.m. EDT. Supporters can cast one vote per day at the official voting page: 10best.usatoday.com/awards/reading-liederkranz-oktoberfest-reading-pennsylvania. Winners will be announced on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2025, at 12 p.m. EDT.

2025 Oktoberfest – Official Announcement

The Reading Liederkranz also formally announces the 2025 Oktoberfest, running from Wednesday, Oct. 1, to Sunday, Oct. 5, on the Liederkranz festival grounds at 143 Spook Ln., Reading.

Festival hours:

• Wednesday to Friday: 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Saturday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
• Sunday: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Oktoberfest 2025 will feature live German and polka bands, Bavarian folk dancing, authentic cuisine, imported beers, family-friendly activities, and artisan vendors. New this year: Oktoberfest will be entirely cashless, offering faster and more convenient service for guests.
