Five different goal scorers lifted Reading over Adirondack on Friday night.
Defensemen Garret Cockerill, Garrett McFadden and Garrett Cecere as well as forwards Thomas Ebbing and Brad Morrison found the back of the net for the Royals in a 5-2 win over the Thunder in Glens Falls, N.Y.
Reading took the lead early in the first period and never relinquished it. The Royals led 5-0 early in the third period before forwards Patrick Grasso and Alexandre Carrier scored for Adirondack to make it 5-2.
Reading outshot the Thunder 39-30. Royals goaltender Kirill Ustimenko recorded 28 saves.
