Reading opened its two-game series with Trois-Rivières on Friday night with a win.
Four Royals scored a goal in a 4-3 victory over the Lions in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The two sides will conclude their series Saturday at 3 p.m.
Cam Strong, Charlie Gerard, Jackson Cressey and Brayden Low scored for Reading (3-1-1). Low’s goal midway through the third period broke a 3-3 tie.
Royals goaltender Pat Nagle saved 33-of-36 shots. Trois-Rivières goalie Kevin Poulin recorded 20 saves.
