Reading Royals fall to Maine on the road

The Reading Royals fell to the Maine Mariners 4-1 in an ECHL game Sunday at Portland, Maine.

Four Mariners — Cameron Askew, Nick Master, Justin Brazeau and Andrew Romano — scored as Maine never trailed.

Charlie Gerard scored for Reading in the second period to cut it to 3-1. The goal was unassisted.

Royals goaltender Pat Nagle made 35 save. Mariners goalie Jeremy Brodeur recorded 29 saves.

The Royals (2-1-1) defeated Adirondack 3-2 in overtime on Saturday night at Glens Falls, N.Y., on a goal by Patrick McNally.
