Reading to host annual Halloween event on Penn Street

Reading will host its fourth annual Spooktacular Halloween on Penn Street.

“The festive gathering promises a ghoulishly good time for all ages,” city officials said in release.

The event will take place Oct. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the 600 block of Penn Street.

Family-friendly activities include pumpkin decorating, a Halloween-themed photo booth, prizes, candy giveaways and other goodies. Costumes are encouraged.

Park free from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Fourth and Cherry streets garage at 29 S. Fourth St. or the South Penn garage at 626 Cherry St.
