Reading United AC Celebrates 30 Years of Soccer in Berks County

From Reading United AC

Reading United AC, a pillar of the Berks County soccer community for three decades, is thrilled to invite the community to a special event celebrating the team’s storied 30 history of soccer in the county. Reading United AC: Celebrating 30 Years of Berks County Soccer will be held on Thursday, March 27, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at Sly Fox, 820 Knitting Mills Way, Wyomissing.

Reading United AC has been instrumental in developing soccer talent with 146 Reading United/Reading Rage players going on to play professionally, be drafted, or earn an international cap. This milestone event will honor the players, coaches, and supporters who have contributed to the club’s success. The evening promises exciting reunions, including appearances by former Reading Rage PDL alumni and special guests.

At 6:30 p.m., the event will feature two major announcements:

  • The launch of the Reading United AC Foundation, a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding soccer opportunities and creating a lasting impact in the community.
  • The unveiling of the 2025-2026 kit designs gives fans an exclusive first look at this season’s uniforms.

“We are honored to celebrate three decades of soccer in Berks County,” said Art Auchenbach, Vice President and Ownership Partner of Reading United AC. “This event is not just a look back; it’s a step forward for our club.”

Sly Fox has generously partnered with Reading United AC for this event, pledging to donate $1 to the Reading United AC Foundation for every pint purchased between 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Additionally, the first 50 guests to arrive will receive a complimentary ticket to either the men’s or women’s team home opener.

Reading United AC kicks off their home schedule with a WPSL Women’s 1st Team game against Hershey FC. The USL2 Men’s 1st Team plays their first home game on Saturday, May 31, against Real Central New Jersey. Both games kick off at 7 p.m. All home games are played at Alvernia University. Season tickets are currently on sale on the website for $85.00.
