An America Needs Fatima Public Square Rosary Rally will be held at noon Saturday, Oct. 15, at the Island Park Pavilion in Schuylkill Haven to offer prayers for life and peace in our country and world. This will be the fourth rally St. Ambrose Parish is hosting rain or shine.
America Needs Fatima, a campaign of the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property, launched 2,100 Public Square Rosary Rallies on Oct. 13, 2007. They were held in public squares, busy intersections, city parks, in front of town halls and at abortion clinics across America. These rallies have grown to more than 20,000.
The rallies are held on the Saturday closest to Oct. 13, the anniversary of the final apparition of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal in 1917. They represent the largest network of rosary rallies in the world. This year marks the 105th anniversary of Our Lady’s final apparition to the children in Portugal.
Organizers said attendance has grown each year at the St. Ambrose Rally, with more than 80 people joining in prayer in 2021. All are welcome to come and pray. Participants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
