Safe Berks will hold their annual Celebration of Peace event on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Reading. The Celebration of Peace will include Keynote Speaker, Robin Givens, food stations, raffle prizes, live and silent auctions, inspiring videos, an update about Safe Berks, award presentations, and recognition of Annual Sponsors.
The event will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude around 8:30 p.m. with the drawing of the raffle winner of TWO SUPER BOWL LIX tickets! You can purchase a raffle ticket(s) online via ACH at: safeberks.org/superbowltix/ until Tuesday, Jan. 21, at noon, or using cash or check by visiting Safe Berks at 255 Chestnut St., Reading, Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., until Jan. 17 at 4 p.m.
Robin Givens, the Keynote Speaker for the Celebration of Peace is an award-winning actress, author, and advocate for women’s rights who has been a powerful force in Hollywood for more than three decades.
While Robin is mostly known for her acting/directing in shows such as “Riverdale,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “House of Payne,” and on Broadway as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” her work for women’s advocacy has been an enduring passion. She uses her voice daily to remind women that they do have a choice.
Safe Berks is proud to honor Andi Funk with the Vision for Peace award. It is the highest honor awarded by Safe Berks. Those we recognize with this award have made justice and peace their life’s work. For several years, Andi has served as the head of PeaceTrust, Safe Berks’ Leadership giving program, and truly is a mentor for so many across the Berks County Community. We are thankful for Andi’s contributions and assistance with raising awareness about Safe Berks and the services provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The Celebration of Peace raises much-needed funds to help Safe Berks continue to provide free services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Tickets can be purchased online at safeberks.org/cop2025/.
