The S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation, a science education nonprofit headquartered in Berks
County, recently awarding of six college scholarships of $1,000 each.
The scholarships are for high school seniors who have been accepted to a college or university and whose intended major is in an area of the sciences.
They are:
• Colin Kowalski, Sparta, N.J., majoring in neuroscience at Dartmouth College.
• Hannah Super, Aliquippa, Pa., Majoring in sustainable architecture at Bowling Green State University.
• Kayleigh Simpson, Sparta, N.J., majoring in industrial engineering/computer science at Virginia Tech.
• Ella Harrison, West Chester, Pa., majoring in biological sciences at Ohio State University.
• Kennadi Lakins, Crothersville, Ind., majoring in kinesiology and integrative physiology at
Hanover College.
• Marissa Crea, Aliquippa, Pa., majoring in pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh.
