Schuylkill Haven council approves parking app

Schuylkill Haven Borough Council approved the use of Park Mobile at several locations.

Borough administrator Jessica Seiders said at the Feb. 19 meeting that the borough has a handful of non-working meters that will be removed and as a result parking can only be paid via Park Mobile at those locations.

With Park Mobile, parking is paid via smartphone app, web browser or by calling a phone number.

“While coin meters will continue to be made available,” Seiders said, “Park Mobile will also be made available at those parking locations, as well.”

The hourly parking rate is $1 with Park Mobile, Seiders said. The first 10 minutes are free.
