Get ready to tee off for a cause at the second annual Swings for Science, Birdies for Blankets event, taking place from Friday, June 7, to Sunday, June 9, at Sittler Golf in Sinking Spring.

This family-friendly event promises three days of fun, featuring a mini golf tournament, mini golf challenges, driving range contests, delicious food, ice cream, beer trucks, raffles, science experiments, and more. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. each day, attendees will enjoy a range of activities suitable for all ages.

The highlight of the weekend will be the second annual Oakbrook Open presented by Oakbrook Brewing, a must-attend event on Saturday night, June 8, at 6:30 p.m. There will be cash prizes for the top competitors. Registration is required for the mini-golf tournament, but all other activities are open to the public.

Adding an educational twist, the event will feature hands-on science projects for youth, providing a unique learning experience while having fun. Proceeds from the event will benefit the S.P.A.R.K.S. Foundation and Blankets of Hope Berks, supporting their missions within the community.

Swings for Science, Birdies for Blankets aims to engage the community in supporting these deserving causes. Whether it’s playing mini golf, entering the tournament, hitting balls at the driving range, purchasing raffle tickets, or making a donation, there are multiple ways for attendees to contribute.

The event promises something for everyone, including discounted ice cream vouchers for children, a chance to win prizes in raffles, and the opportunity to bond with family and friends over golf and delicious treats from Big Bertha’s Grill.
