Grace Lutheran Church, 30 Liberty St., Shillington, will install the Rev. Colleen Cox as pastor on Sunday at 3 p.m.
Cox has been serving at Grace since April 2020, but the pandemic postponed the official installation. Bishop Christopher deForest of the Northeastern Pennsylvania Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will conduct the installation service and preach
Cox was ordained on Sept. 25, 2005, earning her master of divinity degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, now the United Lutheran Seminary.
“It is an honor and a privilege to walk with people throughout their lives of faith, serving side by side with others and share the love of Jesus with all people,” Cox said.
Cox has been working with other congregations of various faiths in Berks County. Grace is her third call in Pennsylvania.
Cox also serves as the Dean of the West Berks Mission District, a coalition of more than 40 Lutheran congregations located in the western portion of Berks County.

Maidencreek Church, 261 Main St., Maidencreek Township, will hold a hybrid worship service Sunday at 9 a.m. Music includes a violin solo by Zoey Fisk, a vocal duet with Betsy McGeorge and Jane McAndrew, several piano pieces by Kimberly Aytron as well as a congregational hymn.
