History
Schuylkill County Historical Society: 6 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 7, 305 N. Centre St., Pottsville. The Molly Maguires program will be repeated. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 6:30, “Porcupine” Pat McKinney will discuss the history and practice of the Pennsylvania German healing practice of pow wow, a Bible-based folk medicine, which uses verbal incantations, gestures and manipulation of material objects.
