The following information comes from police reports and court records.
Crash: On Nov. 12 at about 1 a.m. state police responded to an accident on Ridge Road in Upper Mahantongo Township. Kurt Snyder, 49, Dornsife, struck a utility pole with his pickup truck. Snyder then fled, leaving behind power lines across the road. The pickup was found at Snyder’s residence with minor damage. After further investigation it was determined that Snyder was impaired. He was not injured.
DUI: On Nov. 11 at about 12:50 a.m., state police responded to a disabled vehicle in Norwegian Township. The operator, Robert Dukmen, 52, Auburn, was arrested for DUI.
Theft: On Nov. 11 at about 6 p.m., state police responded to South Tremont Street in Tremont for a report of a retail theft. An unidentified person drove a red 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee bearing New York registration JCN9903, deprived Kreiser’s Fuel Services of $44.95 of regular gas and fled without paying. Police continue to investigate.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 61 in North Manheim Township on Nov. 11 at about 10:30 p.m. Jessica Craig, 44, Pottsville, and struck a deer crossing the road. She was not injured. Her car was towed.
Crash: On Nov. 10 at about 10:30 a.m. state police responded to an accident on Sweet Arrow Lake Road near Hidden Valley Road in Wayne Township. Amy Heim, Pottsville, swerved to avoid hitting an animal and crashed into a ditch.. She suffered minor injuries.
Retail Theft: State police were dispatched to Boscov’s at Fairlane Village Mall in Norwegian Township on Nov. 7 at about 1:13 p.m. for a reported retail theft. Someone entered the front entrance of the store and stole merchandise valued at over $500. The investigation is ongoing.
Hit and Run: On Nov. 6 at about 9:30 a.m. state police responded to a hit-and-run accident on Route 895 in Auburn. An SUV hit a parked vehicle and failed to stop. The driver of a 2017 Ford Escape hit a parked vehicle and failed to stop to report the accident. The vehicle that was hit had minor damage.
Theft of Services: On Nov. 6 at about 12:40 p.m., troopers were dispatched to 75 Memorial Drive in North Manheim Township for a report of theft of services. A nearby resident dumped household trash into a business dumpster. Police continue to investigate.
Crash: State police responded to an accident on Route 61 near Pheasant Run Road in West Brunswick Township Nov. 5 at about 9 p.m. Alyson Warke, 46, Orwigsburg, slowed down after striking a deer, and her vehicle was then struck in the rear by an SUV driven by Jennifer Bowen, 63, Orwigsburg. There were no injuries. Both vehicles were towed due to disabling damage.
Criminal Mischief: On Nov. 3 at about 10:15 a.m. state police responded to Route 61 in Port Clinton. Alyssa Rapee, 22, Port Clinton told police that between 1 and 8 p.m. the windows were smashed on her 2015 Jeep. Police continue to investigate.
Criminal Mischief: On Nov. 2 at about 4:20 p.m., state police were dispatched to New Philadelphia Road in West Brunswick Township. An unknown person slashed the tires to two vehicles in the early-morning hours. Police continue to investigate.
Burglary: On Oct. 25 at about 4 p.m., state police were dispatched to New Philadelphia Road in West Brunswick Township for a reported theft of designer clothes.
Forgery: State police are investigating a reported forgery/counterfeiting at Boscov’s, Fairlane Village Mall in Norwegian Township. Two men entered the store and used a credit card that was obtained using someone else’s identity. After completing the purchase, one man fled on foot and the other fled in a vehicle.
