from First Unitarian Universalist Church of Berks County
The First Unitarian Universalist Church of Berks County, established in Reading in 1831, is excited to announce a special dedication ceremony celebrating the installation of its new solar photovoltaic system. The ceremony will take place on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the church located at 416 Franklin St., Reading.
State Senator Judy Schwank will be a special guest speaker at the dedication ceremony. Senator Schwank will share her insights on the importance of renewable energy and the positive impact of solar power on our community.
The installation of the solar photovoltaic system is a significant step towards the church’s commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. This investment will not only generate clean energy but also help to lower the church’s energy costs. Following the dedication ceremony, there will be a light reception at noon and tours of the solar photovoltaic system from 1-3 p.m.
All members of the community are invited to attend the dedication ceremony. For more information, please send an email to office@uuberks.org or call 610-372-0928.
