State police from the Reading station said they plan to conduct a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Berks County.
The checkpoint will be conducted sometime between tonight through Monday, which is Labor Day. Troopers will systematically stop vehicles at an undisclosed location to check for behaviors associated with alcohol or drug impairment.
Besides state police, municipal police departments may also conduct a checkpoint as well as roving DUI patrols over the Labor Day weekend as part of the federally funded Driver Sober or Get Pulled Over initiative, officials previously announced.
