Scott Storck of the Philadelphia Cricket Club won the weather-shortened Hawley Quier Memorial golf tournament on Thursday in a sudden death playoff at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
The two-day event was shortened to just one round because of threatening weather Friday from the remnants of Tropical Storm Debby.
Storck shot 73 for the round, which tied him with Henry Pilliod and James Furness of Bellewood Country Club.
Storck then won the $400 winner’s prize in a playoff, with Pilliod and Furness each winning $250.
Nicholas Vecellio of Moselem Springs Golf Club, Tom Wenrich of Heidelberg Country Club and Todd Reedy each shot 74 and tied for fourth place, winning $125 each.
Brandon Raihl of Philadelphia Cricket Club and Jake Reed of The Wanderers Club each shot 76 to tie for seventh and win $67.50 each.
