The Camel Project hosts Chalkpalooza Chalk and Bubble Festival in Kutztown

The Camel Project will host Chalkpalooza Chalk and Bubble Festival at Renninger’s Market in Kutztown from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sept. 7.

“This festival provides an opportunity for people of all backgrounds and ages to connect and have fun through the joy of chalk art and bubbles. It’s a celebration of creativity and community, and we’re thrilled to bring everyone together for such a worthy cause,” Pamela Gockley, executive director of The Camel Project, said in a release.

The festival benefits The Camel Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating bullying by promoting kindness, respect, and safety in communities. Through educational programs, advocacy and community events like Chalkpalooza, The Camel Project works to eliminate bullying and empower individuals to make a positive impact.

This family-friendly event offers fun for all ages with chalk art, bubbles and an array of activities that bring people together in a celebration of kindness and creativity.

Attendees will be able to create their own chalk masterpieces or dance among the bubbles. All supplies are provided.

Community resources and sponsors will offer interactive activities and engaging experiences for all ages.

The event also features a car show featuring classic and exotic vehicles.

Chalkpazooza is free and open to the public. Donations to The Camel Project are encouraged and appreciated.

Brinton Lodge hosts guided tours

Located at 1808 Schuylkill Road, Douglassville, just across from the Schuylkill River on Route 724 between Reading and Pottstown, this centuries-old stucco mansion is renowned for its mysterious atmosphere and eerie allure.

Former staff members have reported encounters with benevolent spirits, including the lodge’s namesake, Caleb Brinton. The lodge’s chilling ambiance is further enhanced by historic accounts of documented ghostly occurrences.

Since its public opening in 2013, Brinton Lodge has captivated locals and visitors. Decades of hauntings, a uniquely storied past and original 18th and 19th century architecture combine to offer visitors a truly one-of-a-kind experience.

All proceeds from the tours support the ongoing preservation of the lodge, ensuring the historic site continues to intrigue future generations.
