from Reading Area Community College

This fall at the Miller Center may be our strongest series of concerts and special events in our history! Take a look at the world-class entertainment coming to the campus of Reading Area Community College in the coming months. This season is made in part with our friends at Performance Toyota as this season’s sponsor. For more information and to purchase your tickets, go to https://millercenter.racc.edu/events.

Our fall schedule opens with the legendary Gatlin Brothers coming to the Miller Center on Saturday, Sept. 14, bringing their historic catalog and spiritual foundation.

On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the iconic Marc Cohn is coming to the Miller Center. Marc Cohn has long been recognized as one of the premier singer/songwriters of the past three decades. Marc’s iconic song, “Walking in Memphis,” is a sample of this balladeer’s talents. Marc Cohn’s appearance at the Miller Center is presented by Herbein.

Our Miller Center team has been surveying the podcast landscape to find the right podcast to bring to our center for a live event. Discover AG is one of the top 10 food podcasts in the nationhosted by two modern millennial women trailblazing a new conversation around food. This event is presented by the Berks County Department of Agriculture. We hope you can join us on Thursday, Sept. 26, for the first-ever live podcast at the Miller Center.

Luther Dickinson is often listed among the greatest living guitarists on the planet. Luther and the rest of his incredible North Mississippi All-Stars will head to the Miller Center on Saturday, Oct. 5, for a night of extraordinary music.

John Westford is an American illusionist and magician who has dazzled audiences all over the world. We can’t wait for families to witness The Magic of John Westford and his famously quick wit at the Miller Center on Saturday, Oct. 19. This time around, John has something really big up his sleeve, a trick so large that he needs the Miller Center stage to make it happen. Grab the whole family and enjoy a magical night out this October.

Alvin Ailey stands in history as one of the all-time giants in modern dance. The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater has upheld the founder’s extraordinary performances for decades. The Miller Center is thrilled to welcome Ailey II, The Next Generation of Dance, on Sunday, Oct. 20.

Politics will dominate our landscape as we head into the fall. Capital Fools will poke fun at both sides of the aisle as we try to laugh through a contentious cycle on Tuesday, Oct. 29. Exactly one week before the November election, it’s the perfect time to come laugh together.

The Miller Center is proud to bring some of the finest tribute performers in the nation to our stage. We announced The Carole King & James Taylor Story on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. and were met with so much demand that we added an afternoon show at 2 p.m. to make sure everyone has the opportunity to witness one of the best musical collaborations of all time.

Berks County native Jill Haley will return to the Miller Center on Sunday, Nov. 3. Jill is a celebrated oboist and artist who has served as an “Artist in Residence” at our National Parks for many years. Jill has written and created a wonderful and immersive experience playing her music to the imagery of our majestic national parks.

Another event that will focus on dramatic and incredible visual imagery will be National Geographic Live: From Roots to Canopy on Monday, Nov. 4. Join us and learn about the magnificent wildlife and incredible science happening in the vast, hidden worlds suspended above our heads. Hosted by Nalini Nadkarni, a tree canopy ecologist and National Geographic Explorer with over four decades of experience and research behind her.

You may have seen the spectacular Lightwire Theater on America’s Got Talent a few years ago. Lightwire uses technology, music, and colorful lights to tell stories that entertain and regale nationwide audiences. Lightwire Theater Presents “A Very Electric Christmas” on Saturday, Nov. 30, and will surely start the Holiday Season with a visual panorama that will ignite your senses.

The Grammy Winning Spanish Harlem Orchestra’s, Salsa Navidad is coming on Tuesday, Dec. 10, for an evening of joyous Latin and Salsa stylings to feed your holiday spirit.
