Theology with a Twist to be held at Kutztown Tavern [Religion Digest]

• Theology with a Twist presents Faith and the Upcoming Elections by Dr. Lee Barrett on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Kutztown Tavern, 272 W. Main St., Kutztown. The nation’s increasingly combative political polarization is partly fueled by the tension between red state and blue state forms of Christianity. Join Barrett as we explore the visceral spiritual hungers and fears that motivate each of these factions and consider possible ways to promote a less belligerent conversation. Barrett is the chair of theology and professor of systematic theology at Lancaster Theological Seminary. He holds a bachelor of arts, master of divinity, master of arts degrees and a Ph.D., all from Yale University. Gather in the upper room of the tavern. The event is free, but food and drink can be purchased in the restaurant downstairs and brought up to the event space. Parking is available in the community lot behind the tavern or on Main Street.
