The Thunder on the Hill Racing Series Hodnett Cup scheduled for Tuesday night at Grandview Speedway has been canceled due to rain, it was announced Tuesday.
The event, which was scheduled race No. 4 of the 2023 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek series, was expected to feature many of the top winged 410 sprint car drivers from across the state and former NASCAR Truck Series driver Tanner Thorson. Speedweek will resume with race No. 5 on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Md.
The 410 sprint cars are set to return to Grandview on Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30 p.m., as the one-third mile dirt track located outside Bechtelsville in Washington Township will host the new High Limit Sprint Car Series in its inaugural season. With a winner’s prize of $23,023, it will be the highest-paying sprint car race in the track’s 61-year history.
Weekly racing will return to Grandview on Saturday and feature the 358 modifieds and sportsman as part of the NASCAR Weekly Series. Racing begins at 7:30 p.m.
