Todd Wentzel rolled a 269 in the final round to win the eighth annual Berks County Senior Amateur Sunday at Hiester Lanes.
Wentzel defeated Dennis Steely (233), Kip Bowers (210) and Terry Heckman (207) in the finals.
Wentzel qualified second in the 50-55 age group with a five-game total of 1,187. He advanced to the final with a 235 in the first round and a 258 in the second.
Steely qualified second out of the 67-74 age group with 1,097 pins. He rolled a 202 in the first round and a 257 in the second.
Bowers qualified sixth out of the 61-66 age group with a 1,087 total. He had a 277 in the first round, then a 216.
Heckman qualified first out of the 56-60 age group with a 1,192 total. He had games of 237 and 270.
Eliminated in the second round were Rick Mengel (248), Brad Bixler (247), Leroy Hetrick (242), Norm Schadler (217), Rick McCaulley (215), Mike Brinkman (210), Yvonne Jones (207), George Walton (203), Ken Borger Jr. (196) and Scott Canfield (193).
Eliminated in the first round of the finals were Steve Reichart (227), Bill Bauer (223), Bob Elzer (221), Todd Hess (216), Larry Fricker Sr. (214), Steve Carlson (211), Paul Limpus III (204), Don Sassaman (201), Lesle Hoffman (201), Harry Charlesen (182), Daniel Fitzgerald (173), Jack Wily (168) and Ron McCarty (163).
Brad Bixler, who qualified first in the 50-55 age group with a total of 1,210, rolled a 300 in his final game of qualifying.
