Tower Health Executive Receives Two Prestigious Leadership Awards

Tower Health executive and educator Dr. Wei Du was awarded the prestigious Paul J. Fink Leadership Award from the Pennsylvania Psychiatric Society and was also named a Lehigh Valley Business ICON Honoree.

The Paul J. Fink Leadership Award is presented to a Philadelphia Chapter member who demonstrates psychiatric leadership through education, research, community engagement, and advocacy for all mental health consumers.

The Lehigh Valley Business ICON Award recognizes Greater Lehigh Valley business leaders over the age of 60 who have left an indelible mark on their fields and whose integrity, vision, and selfless service have lifted up the community.

“Dr. Du is a distinguished leader in behavioral health and academic medicine,” said P. Sue Perrotty, Tower Health CEO. “His contributions in these areas underscore his profound commitment to advocating for increased access to behavioral health care and the significant strides he has made in both academic research and physician education.”

At Tower Health, Du serves as senior vice president of academic affairs, chief academic officer, designated institutional official, and medical director of behavioral health services. He also serves as a professor and academic chair of psychiatry at Drexel University College of Medicine.

“I am grateful to receive both the Paul J. Fink Leadership Award and the Lehigh Valley Business ICON Honors recognition,” said Du. “I’ve been fortunate to dedicate my professional life to academic and medical areas that I am extremely passionate about, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to do so.”
