According to court documents:

Wyomissing police were called to the area of Route 422/222 near the Berkshire Mall at about 12:45 p.m. on July 1 after a shopper who was leaving the mall reported that she had heard gunshots.

A short time after that initial call, police received a call from a man reporting that someone had shot into his car as he was driving southbound on the highway by the mall.

Police met with the victim and found two bullet holes in his car. One was in the rear of the vehicle and the other was on the driver’s side near the rear bumper.

The victim told police that a car pulled up beside him in the passing lane Instead of passing, it kept pace with his vehicle and the person in the passenger seat pointed a gun out the window and fired several shots.

The victim said he feared for his life and exited the highway as soon as he could. The other vehicle continued south on Route 222.

During their investigation, which included a review of surveillance footage, police were able to identify the vehicle from which the shots were fired. It was registered to Perez-Rodriguez.

Police identified Rosado-Colon as the passenger in the car and the shooter. In an interview with police he admitted that Perez-Rodriguez was driving the car at the time of the incident and that he was in the passenger seat.

He also admitted to police that he fired three or four shots at the victim’s vehicle.
