Tompkins VIST Bank and Classic Harley Davidson invited the public to play Cow Pie Bingo to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The companies raised more than $18,000 at the Food Truck Throw Down and Cow Pie Bingo fundraiser event for MDA held at Classic Harley-Davidson in Leesport on Aug. 15.
The day-long event, held annually, started with a cow-themed Poker Run around Berks County followed by music and food truck fare. Then, the event concluded with Cow Pie Bingo, during which a cow wandered around a life-sized enclosed bingo grid. The first square to receive the cow’s “deposit” won the ticket-holder $500.
Including this year’s proceeds, the bank has raised nearly $85,000 since 2014, including matching gifts from the Jeremy Carroll Foundation.
The funds will support research into neuromuscular diseases and allow children with Muscular Dystrophy to attend a virtual camp.
