The Walk In Art Center is holding its third annual SOUPer Bowl fundraiser Feb. 10. There will be a lunch seating from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.
The center’s clay artists have created more than 300 handmade pottery bowls. Those attending can choose a bowl, two different soups, chips and dessert and leave with a tidy little lunch or dinner to go.
“Many people have indicated that they’d love to participate but can’t leave work at lunch, so we added a dinner pickup time this year,” WIAC Executive Director Jacquie Engel said. “We hope it will give more people a chance to see all the great work our Clay Haven pottery group has been creating over the past year.”
Soups included are beef vegetable, Italian wedding and a surprise third option.
Visitors can check out a pottery wheel demonstration and see how the bowls are made. People are invited to visit with art vendors in the Main Gallery and throughout the WIAC’s Artist Market and Studio Row.
