WCR Center for the Arts Presents Third Annual Winter Arts Camp

From WCR Center for the Arts

The WCR Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the return of its third annual Winter Arts Camp on Nov. 24-25, an inspiring seasonal program for children ages 7 to 12. This year’s camp embraces the theme “The Reason for the Season,” inviting young participants to explore creativity, gratitude, and cultural traditions through a variety of hands-on arts experiences.

Designed to spark imagination and encourage reflection, the Winter Arts Camp provides children with a joyful space to celebrate the true spirit of the season — being grateful, giving thanks, and honoring the diverse ways communities around the world come together during the winter months.

Camp activities will include canvas painting, a thank-you card workshop, a nature session with Nolde Forest, movement and dance and storytelling, and more.

Now in its third year, the Winter Arts Camp continues to grow as a cherished family tradition, providing an enriching blend of arts, learning, and seasonal celebration. Campers will make holiday-inspired crafts, participate in games and group activities, and gain a deeper understanding of gratitude and cultural appreciation.

The WCR Center for the Arts appreciates the support of its partners: Reading Recreation Commission, Olivet Boys and Girls Club, Barrio Alegria, and Nolde Forest. It also thanks Centro Hispano for providing lunches on Monday. This program is generously sponsored by The Neag Foundation.

The WCR Center for the Arts continues to provide educational arts programming for children and people of all ages, focusing on lower to moderate-income families in Reading and Berks County.
