From WCR Center for the Arts
The WCR Center for the Arts is proud to announce the appointment of Brian Pinto, MPA, CFRE, to its Board of Directors. Brian joins as a member of the Advancement Committee, bringing with him more than 25 years of professional fundraising experience and a deep personal connection to the arts.
Brian currently serves as Chief Development Officer for Scouting America, Cradle of Liberty Council, where he oversees individual giving, grants, and special event programs to support youth across Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. His distinguished career includes prior roles as Assistant Vice President for Major and Planned Giving at Albright College, Chief Advancement Officer for Humane Pennsylvania, and various development leadership positions at nonprofit organizations in Pennsylvania and Florida.
A resident of Berks County for over 20 years, Brian’s passion for the arts began early — as a singer-dancer performing in theme parks and aboard cruise ships. That creative spirit continues to influence his dedication to strengthening arts institutions in his community. As a new board member, Brian is eager to help elevate the Center’s visibility and impact: “The WCR Center for the Arts is Berks County’s best-kept secret. From the outside, the building is stunning — but the magic really happens inside. When people think of the arts in our region, WCR should be top of mind.”
He also sees the Center as a key player in the city’s ongoing resurgence: “As Reading continues its revitalization efforts, WCR Center can help by continuing to deliver world-class entertainment that draws visitors into the city who would otherwise never venture to Berks County and elevate Reading as an arts destination.”
While still becoming familiar with the Center’s programming, Brian is enthusiastic about the opportunities ahead and the role the arts play in building a vibrant community. “The arts foster economic growth, build community, and enrich lives. Whether by attending events, volunteering, or donating, I encourage everyone to support the arts in Reading — however they are able.”
