What to know about the BCIAA girls volleyball playoffs

Thursday’s quarterfinals: Exeter at Schuylkill Valley, 7 p.m.; Brandywine Heights at Twin Valley, 7 p.m.

Saturday’s semifinals: Exeter-Schuylkill Valley winner at Wilson, 2 p.m.; Brandywine Heights-Twin Valley winner at Berks Catholic, 11 a.m.

Tuesday’s final: At highest-seeded team remaining, 7 p.m.

Exeter (10-5) vs. Schuylkill Valley (11-7)

The Eagles

Who to watch: Senior OH Maddie Forry has 230 kills, 211 digs and 44 aces.

What to know: Berks I third-place finishers reached the final last year and are seeking their fifth title in six years and eighth overall.

The Panthers

Who to watch: Senior MH Mara Nagle has 164 kills, 24 blocks, 38 aces and 36 digs.

What to know: Berks II runners-up are making their first Berks playoff appearance since 2016, when they lost to Wilson in the quarterfinals.

Brandywine Heights (8-9) vs. Twin Valley (10-2)

The Bullets

Who to watch: Senior MH Sara Moyer is averaging 11 kills, four blocks and eight digs per match.

What to know: Berks II third-place finishers are making their first appearance since 2018, when they lost to Wilson in the quarterfinals.

The Raiders

Who to watch: Senior MH Laura Biegel has 120 kills, 50 blocks and 20 aces.

What to know: Berks I runners-up are making their second straight appearance after losing to Wilson in the semifinals last year.

Quarterfinal byes

The Bulldogs (15-1)

Who to watch: Sophomore OH Kassidy Means is hitting .307 with 245 kills, 51 aces, 16 blocks and 134 digs.

What to know: Berks I champs are making their eighth straight appearance after winning their first title last year.

The Saints (17-1)

Who to watch: Senior S Kate Barbon has 604 assists, 129 digs, 66 kills, 46 aces and nine blocks.

What to know: Berks II champs have made playoffs every year of their existence and are looking for their fourth title and first since 2015.
