Where to get a free Thanksgiving meal in Berks County

People who may be struggling to put food on the table can get a little help this Thanksgiving.

Several organizations and local businesses across Berks County are offering free holiday meals.

Here are locations offering free food:

Wednesday

• At Leesport Farmer’s Market, 312 Gernants Church Road, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Thursday

• At Mother of Worlds at Reading Distilling Guild, 503 Penn St., from 8 to 10:30 a.m.
• At Hope Rescue Mission, 645 N. Sixth St., from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
• At Boyertown Salvation Army, 409 S. Reading Ave., from noon to 2 p.m.
• At Opportunity House, 430 N. Second St., at 2 p.m.
• At Haymakers, 709 Walnut St., from 2 to 6 p.m.
• At Hopes Table at Hope Lutheran Church, 601 N. Front St., from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.
