District 3 individual golf tournaments
When: Friday and Saturday.
Where: Class 3A at Honey Run Golf Club, Class 2A at Briarwood East Golf Club, both in York County.
Schedule: First round of 36-hole medal play will start Friday with shotgun start at 10 a.m. at both courses. Second round will start Saturday at 10 a.m. at both courses. Cuts will be made for the second 18 holes Saturday as follows: Class 3A boys, low 32 and ties; Class 2A boys, low 16 and ties; Class 3A girls, low 32 and ties; Class 2A girls, low 16 and ties.
PIAA qualifiers: District 3 will send the top 18 Class 3A boys finishers, top 10 Class 2A boys finishers, top nine Class 3A girls and top five Class 2A girls to states. The Class 2A boys and girls is Oct. 18 at Heritage Hills Golf Resort in York; the Class 3A boys and girls is Oct. 19 at Heritage Hills.
Berks entries: Class 3A boys — Wilson, Evan Jozwiak, Jared Foltz, Nate Neiswender; Exeter, Owen Wisner, Luke Weller, Andrew Bauer; Daniel Boone, Kole Washleski; Gov. Class 2A boys — Wyomissing, Chase Maggs and Matt Latourelle; Berks Catholic, JT Krynock, David Birmingham, Ryan Koch; Hamburg, Austin Zweizig; Kutztown, Alex Rau; Schuylkill Valley, Tucker Jozwiak, Daymond Hiester. Class 3A girls — Gov. Mifflin, Sara DeLoretta. Class 2A girls — Kutztown, Emilee Barkley; Hamburg, Erica Gerner; Schuylkill Valley, Madison Ziska; Jessica Howard, Oley Valley.
District 3 team golf tournaments
When: Friday, 10 a,m.
Where: Class 3A at Honey Run Golf Club, Class 2A at Briarwood Golf Club, both in York County.
Format: The top four scores will be used as an aggregate total with the lowest total winning the championship and advancing to the PIAA Team Golf Championships, to be held Oct. 25 at Heritage Hills, in both classes. The team tournaments will be conducted concurrently with the first round of the individual tournaments.
Berks entries: Wilson (Class 3A) and Berks Catholic (Class 2A).
