Wyomissing became the first in Berks high school football history to reach 31 consecutive regular season victories, as the Spartans downed Donegal 41-7 on the road Friday night in a Lancaster-Lebanon League Section 4 matchup.
Wilson previously held the record, which stood at 30 straight wins.
Drew Eisenhower and Charlie McIntyre each scored two touchdowns to lead Wyomissing to its record-breaking victory. Eisenhower opened the scoring on a 48-yard touchdown run and later caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Ben Zechman.
Zechman was 6-of-6 passing for 96 yards. Ethan Brower had a team-high 31 receiving yards for the Spartans.
McIntyre scored on runs of 38 and 25 yards. Late in the game, Matthew Kramer scored a 9-yard touchdown run and Chase Eisenhower joined his brother on the Wyomissing score sheet by scoring a 3-yard touchdown run. Donegal blocked the Spartans’ final extra point attempt.
Drew Eisenhower finished with 90 rushing yards and McIntyre had 80. Collin Niedrowski had a team-high 92 rushing yards for Wyomissing.
The Spartans (3-0, 6-0) rushed for a total of 464 yards on 43 carries and limited Donegal (0-3, 1-5) to 125 yards of total offense.
