YMCA offers plenty of fun Easter activities around Berks

The YMCA of Reading & Berks County got local families ready for Easter with a series of activities Saturday.

The Reading YMCA hosted an Underwater Egg Hunt in its pool, replacing baskets and running shoes with nets and goggles to scoop up their eggs. It was challenging because the faster you move toward the eggs, the more they wobble away. Participants brought home goody bags, and the Golden Egg winner was awarded a free family Y membership for a month.

The Tri Valley YMCA Richmond Early Learning Center in Richmond Township hosted more than 100 people for holiday activities Saturday.

The Easter Bunny was there for photos with children. Other activities included chances to hunt eggs, browse the craft fair, play games, enjoy the food trucks. and vie for prizes such as free Y membership, a free session of group swim lessons and a free week of summer camp.
