from Yocum Institute for Arts Education
Join Yocum Institute for Arts Education on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., for a free, fun-filled afternoon at its 90th Anniversary Open House.
Families can enjoy hands-on activities like a paint-by-number mural, make-and-take art projects, a karate experience, and even adopt a stuffed animal Yak. Generous artists and donors have contributed to our special art exhibition in appreciation and support of the Yocum Institute. Freshen up your walls with new-to-you art, while also benefiting your local institution for arts education. Attendees will also have the chance to see historic artifacts from Yocum’s 90 years of arts education. Free parking, free event!
Come dressed up for trick-or-treating, explore the new art exhibit, and enjoy a marionette puppet showing and a free performance by the Reading Philharmonic. The celebration includes birthday cake and cupcakes from Redner’s, coffee samples from 7 Brew, and a special gift for the first 90 attendees—a Yocum Institute drawstring backpack! Don’t miss this exciting afternoon celebrating nine decades of arts education in the community.
