A look at this week’s college football games for Kutztown, Albright and Alvernia

Kutztown (2-0 PSAC East, 4-1) vs. Bloomsburg (0-2, 1-4)

When, where: Saturday, 2 p.m., at Bloomsburg

Last week: Kutztown beat East Stroudsburg 21-14 at home; Bloomsburg lost 21-20 at West Chester.

Notable: Bloomsburg leads the series 47-25-1, but Kutztown has won the last four, including 27-12 on the road in the last meeting in 2019. … KU received 42 votes in this week’s AFCA Division II coaches’ poll, ranking 29th. … KU’s Jerome Kapp, a Boyertown grad, ranks third in the PSAC in yards per catch (23.2) and seventh in receiving yards (405). … Former Bloomsburg standout Frank Sheptock is in his first season as coach of the Huskies. … Gov. Mifflin grad Dominic Sheidy is a freshman offensive lineman for Bloomsburg.

Wilkes (3-0 MAC, 4-0) vs. Albright (1-2, 2-3)

When, where: Saturday, noon, Shirk Stadium.

Last week: Albright lost 31-20 at Misericordia; Wilkes beat Stevenson 21-14 at home.

Notable: The game is the 70th annual Rajah Shrine Pretzel Bowl. … Albright leads the series 25-18. Wilkes won the last meeting 42-40 in Reading in 2019. … Albright linebacker Daniel Vital leads the MAC in tackles at 11.8 per game. … Wilkes is second in the MAC in scoring offense (31.3 points per game) and scoring defense (9.0). … Boyertown grad Pat Ricci, a senior defensive lineman for Wilkes, is tied for sixth in the MAC in tackles for loss with 5.5 and is seventh in sacks at 2.5.

Widener (2-1 MAC, 4-1) vs. Alvernia (0-3, 0-5)

When, where: Saturday, noon, Turf Field.

Last week: Alvernia lost 10-7 at King’s; Widener lost 27-3 at FDU-Florham.

Notable: Widener leads the series 2-0, including a 41-13 win in the last meeting at Alvernia in 2019. … Alvernia’s Malcolm Carey remains the MAC leader in rushing yards at 107.0 per game and with 535 yards. … Widener is third in the MAC in rushing yards allowed at 102.4 per game. … Daniel Boone grad Matt Okuniewski, a junior defensive back, has eight total tackles and three pass breakups in five games for Widener.
