The Reading Branch of the American Association of University Women honors the top senior woman as of the first semester in all 19 Berks County high schools. All these young women have been accepted and are planning to attend their chosen four-year accredited college in the fall. A congratulatory letter with an honorary award has been mailed to each of the students.
The association will also award scholarships in 2022-2023 to Berks County women who are pursuing full- or part-time study for a graduate degree or a non-traditional degree for women returning to academic studies. Applications are due by May 26 and are available on the AAUW Reading Branch website, reading-pa.aauw.net.
Funds for all these awards are raised through Book Bonanza.
