Albright falls to Misericordia in college football

David Cromwell rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown and Misericordia scored 21 points in the second quarter to defeat Albright 31-20 Saturday in Dallas in a Middle Atlantic Conference football game.

Albright (1-2, 2-3) took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 14-yard touchdown pass from Todd Shelley to Kevin Zehner.

Misericordia (1-2, 2-2) was limited to the first of three Nic Neidlinger field goals in the the first quarter before Neidlinger kicked two more field goals and the Cougars scored two touchdowns all in the last six minutes of the second quarter.

Albright countered with three TD passes from Shelley, who completed 14-of-25 for 178 yards with one interception. But Albright was limited to 51 yards on the ground, 224 yards overall.

Shelley threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Lucas Roselli with 38 seconds left in the second quarter. His third TD pass went to Isaiah Shockley for 10 yards in the fourth quarter after Misericordia had built a 31-14 lead.
