An Anniversary Celebration – Vox Philia in Concert

2024 is a major anniversary year for three major choral composers: the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner’s birth, the 100th death anniversary of Charles Villiers Stanford and Gabriel Fauré, and the (one year early) 500th anniversary of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina’s birth.

Vox Philia celebrates all four composers in a concert on Saturday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m., at Immanuel UCC in Shillington. The choir performs shortened works by Bruckner and Stanford, alongside Palestrina’s “Missa Aeterna Christi Munera” and Fauré’s gorgeous “Requiem,” accompanied by members of Berks Sinfonietta.

All ticket revenue will be donated to a local charity, so by attending, you join us in helping neighbors in need. Tickets are $15/adult and $5/student and can be purchased online at Join us on May 18 for an evening of wonderful choral music.
