Berks solicitor recognized for risk management efforts

Berks County Solicitor Christine Sadler has received the 2021 Brady Koch Award from the County Commissioners Association of Pennsylvania’s PA Counties Risk Pool.

Since 1996, PCoRP has recognized members, elected and appointed officials, and  county employees for their risk management efforts with its annual awards program.

Sadler is the first Berks County official to receive the award, which is named  for former Carbon County commissioner and founding PCoRP Board Member Albert “Brady” Koch. The award is presented to a county official in recognition of his or her outstanding contributions to PCoRP and their county’s risk management program.

John Sallade, CCAP’s managing director for insurance programs, said Sadler was selected for  this award for her tireless work to manage the risks associated with county operations.

“From identifying processes and procedures to assisting with contract wording and  indemnification, and then working to protect the county when matters are litigated, she is a voice of  reason and insight,” Sallade said in a statement. “As County Solicitor, she is knowledgeable about all of the county’s  operations and is a vital representative of the county with PCoRP when claims are being evaluated and  managed. She is exceptionally detailed and is an excellent representative of Berks County.”

Sadler received the award during the 2021 CCAP Fall Conference held Nov. 21-23 in Hershey.
